The Football Association of Japan informed today the Football Association of Serbia that, due to the current situation in the Middle East, the decision has been made to cancel the planned European tour of Japan’s U21 national team, and consequently the friendly match against Serbia’s national team, which was scheduled to be played on March 30 in Antalya.
The Serbia U21 national team recorded another victory as part of its preparations for the 2027 European Championship, which will be held in our country — this time against Kyrgyzstan’s U23 selection, two years older, with a score of 2:0 (1:0). Head coach Zoran Mirković used the opportunity to give all players a chance and distribute playing time evenly.
The Serbia U21 national team drew 2:2 (1:1) with Kyrgyzstan’s U23 selection in a friendly match in Antalya. Head coach Zoran Mirković’s team took the lead twice, but the nominal visitors managed to come back into the game with goals in the closing stages of both the first and second half.
The Serbia U21 national team gathered at the Sports Center of the Football Association of Serbia and began preparations for a friendly match against Kyrgyzstan’s U23 selection, which awaits them in Antalya on March 26.
