Serbia took the lead in the 13th minute through Mijatović, who reacted well inside the box after an excellent free kick by Matija Mitrović. The match was very tight in midfield, with the “Young Eagles” looking more dangerous in front of goal. However, following a counterattack near the end of the first half and a rebound after a Lijeskić save, Iskandarbekov was in the right place to equalize in the 43rd minute. In the second half, Serbia again looked more dangerous, especially from set pieces. After another free kick taken by Matija Mitrović, the “Young Eagles” regained the lead with a beautiful goal. Kyrgyzstan mostly waited for counterattacks, and after one of them, a foul was awarded almost on the edge of the penalty area. Bokoleev was accurate and set the final score at 2:2. The next test for Zoran Mirković’s team will be on March 30, when they will face the same opponent again in Antalya.
